CREDIT REFERENCE AGENCIES

This section applies to any applicant or guarantor for our flexi-lease service. 

When you apply for an Auto Village flex-lease, we will look at your credit file at credit-reference agencies. The credit-reference agencies will give us credit information about you. This credit search is used to check your identity and your eligibility for a flexi-lease. The credit reference agencies may add details of our searches and your application to the record which they hold about you. The credit-reference agencies will also may add details of your flexi-lease agreement with us, the payments you make under it and any default or failure to keep to its terms. Your credit-reference agency records will be seen by other organisations that make searches with those agencies.

To prevent fraud, we will check your details with fraud-prevention agencies. If you provide false or inaccurate information and we suspect fraud, we’ll record this. We and other organisations may use and search these records (including access and use from other countries) to:

  • help make decisions about credit and credit-related services and other facilities for you and members of your household;
  • trace debtors and guarantors, recover debt, prevent fraud, and to manage your guarantee and indemnity, other accounts and facilities;
  • check details on proposals and claims for all types of insurance;
  • check details of job applicants and employees; and
  • check your identity to prevent money laundering unless you give us other satisfactory proof of identity.

 

Governing Law

Cyprus law governs these conditions and you agree that the Cyprus Courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any matter or dispute arising out of this site and these conditions. If you choose to access this site from other locations, it’s your responsibility to comply with all applicable local laws. If any of the clauses of these terms and conditions is found to be legally invalid, it will be deleted. The contract shall continue to bind the parties if it is capable of continuing in existence without the unfair term. All disclaimers, indemnities and exclusions will continue in force after termination of this agreement.

AGREEMENT FOR INSTALLATION OF A GPS SYSTEM AND/OR STARTER INTERRUPT

 

DISCLOSURE STATEMENT TO CUSTOMER PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE AGREEMENT AND DISCLOSURE

IT DESCRIBES THE REQUIRED PAYMENTS AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF FAILING TO MAKE A PAYMENT

 

This Agreement and Disclosure is entered into between the lessee ("Customer") and Cossio Financial Services Ltd ("lessor") pursuant to their execution of a Vehicle/Auto Accessory rental contract ("Contract") covering Customer’s purchase of a vehicle ("the Vehicle/Auto Accessory"). This Agreement and Disclosure, when signed below by the Customer and Dealer/Creditor, is incorporated into and becomes part of the Contract.

 

[x ] If this box is checked, the Vehicle/Auto Accessory comes with an installed GPS System which will permit lessor to locate the Vehicle/Auto Accessory and can prevent the Vehicle/Auto Accessory from restarting if a scheduled payment is not received, subject to any grace or cure periods required by applicable law. The lessor requires the installation of the System.

 

The remainder of this document applies to each System checked above.

 

By signing this document Customer agrees to the installation of the System(s) indicated and to its use until all Customer’s obligations under the Contract are satisfied.

 

If Customer’s scheduled payments are not received, subject to any grace or cure periods required by applicable law, or as specified by the Contract, the Vehicle/Auto Accessory will not start.

 

If the Contract is assigned, the holder of the Contract will have all the rights of the lessor under the Contract.

 

PLEASE READ AND SIGN EACH PROVISION BELOW. BY SIGNING A PROVISION, CUSTOMER INDICATES THAT CUSTOMER UNDERSTANDS AND HAS CONSENTED TO SUCH TERMS WITH RESPECT TO THE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM BEFORE TAKING DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE/AUTO ACCESSORY:

 

  • I have consented to installation of the System on the Vehicle/Auto Accessory. I further understand that I am free to obtain a Vehicle/Auto Accessory from another source that may not require installation of the System.
  • I understand and agree that the System does not belong to me, but rather is the property of the lessor and that Dealer/Creditor requires the installation of the System on the Vehicle/Auto Accessory as part of the agreement to rent the Vehicle/Auto Accessory.
  • I understand that lessor has the right to assign its rights, title and interest in the Contract at any time. Assignment of the Contract by the lessor will not in any way affect the terms and conditions of this Agreement or Disclosure Statement or any other terms of the Contract
  • “As indicated below, I agree that the System is security for all that I owe and all my promises under the Contract.” I understand and agree that tampering with, altering, disconnecting or removing the System is considered an event of default under the Contract and if I tamper with, alter, disconnect, or remove the System from the Vehicle/Auto Accessory, I will be in default and the lessor has all rights and remedies available under applicable law as are available for other types of default, including, unless prohibited by law, any RIGHT TO REPOSSESS THE VEHICLE/AUTO ACCESSORY. Further, I agree that if I tamper with, alter, disconnect, or remove the System, I will be liable for the costs to replace or repair the System, to the extent not prohibited by applicable law.
  • I understand and agree that, unless prohibited by state law, if a scheduled payment is not received by the lessor, and any grace or cure period under applicable law, if any, has expired, THE VEHICLE/AUTO ACCESSORY’S STARTER WILL BE DISABLED AND WILL NOT RESTART until the payment is received by the lessor.
  • I understand that only the lessor or its authorised representatives are permitted to repair and perform maintenance on the System or any of its components. Should maintenance or repair work be required, I agree to make the Vehicle/Auto Accessory available to the lessor or its authorized representative. I understand that the lessor has full responsibility for the cost of all repairs or replacements of the System, except repairs or replacements caused by my tampering with, altering, disconnecting, or removing the System.
  • I understand and agree that the installation and maintenance of the System in the Vehicle/Auto Accessory is a material condition for the lessor to rent the Vehicle/Auto Accessory, and as such constitutes consideration for the terms of the Contract. I hereby agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify the lessor, the distributor of the payment system, provider of the System, their agents, employees, and servants, and each of them, from all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, costs, liabilities or losses, in law or equity, to property or person suffered or sustained by any other person or entity arising out of or resulting from the intended use or termination of the System in the Vehicle/Auto Accessory. I further agree that, in addition to the lessor security interest in the Vehicle/Auto Accessory and any other property specified in the Contract, the System secures all that I owe and all of my promises under the Contract.
  • I understand and agree that non-public personal information may be disclosed to the distributor of the payment system and its authorised non-affiliated distributors and representatives. This information may be disclosed for statistical analysis and as necessary to effect, administer or enforce this Contract or as permitted by law.
  • I understand that the System will permit lessor to locate the Vehicle/Auto Accessory in the event that lessor needs to do so in order to exercise its rights under this Contract, I waive any right of privacy that I may have in connection with the lessor location of the Vehicle/Auto Accessory.

These terms & conditions, together with our website terms & conditions of use, privacy policy and security policy, constitute our agreement with you, the renter, for the services we provide in arranging for the supply of car hire.

Together, these are referred to as ‘our terms’. These terms shall apply to all contracts for the provision of our services to the exclusion of all other terms & conditions. No conduct by AutoVillageCyprus.com shall be deemed to constitute acceptance of any other terms.

Acceptance of the services or signature on any agreement shall be deemed conclusive evidence of your acceptance of these terms. We may change the terms from time to time and you, the renter, are advised to check the website to consider any changes to the terms which apply to you.

Your hire of any car is subject to the terms & conditions of car hire imposed by the car hire company and to the corresponding laws of the country and/or state in which the rental takes place. Individual restrictions may also apply to your car hire.

These terms apply to any booking that you, the renter, make with us on or through this website, so you should make sure that you are aware of their contents. Our terms & conditions contain some exclusions and .limitations of liability.

Your booking on this website is conditional on you, the renter, accepting our terms. If you, the renter, do not agree with any part of them, you must not proceed with your booking. By confirming that you wish to book a car through this website you, the renter, indicate that you have read and understood and accept the relevant terms.

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included in the price. With Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) the renter’s liability for damage to the rented vehicle, is reduced, under the condition that the Cyprus Traffic Law is not violated, to a minimum charge shown in the vehicle groups above. The renter can eliminate the excess liability in the event of an accident.

Theft Protection (TP) is included in Collision Damage Waiver

Third Party Liability is included in the rental price.

The insurance does not cover damage to the tyres, wheels, interior, roof, underside of the vehicle, glass parts (including the windscreen), windscreen wipers, wing mirrors, loss or damage to the car key, locks, aerials, oil pumps, vehicle documents, registration plates and any additional equipment provided with the vehicle.

Renters are responsible for all damage and expenses incurred as a result of incorrect use of the vehicle or misfueling.

Mechanical Faults

Where the vehicle develops a fault during the rental period owing to any reason whatsoever, the customer must inform the Company immediately and cease using the vehicle whilst it is in a potentially un-roadworthy condition.

Incident / Damage Administration Fee

In the event of an accident or damage due to the renter’s liability, the renter has the obligation to Auto Village a non-refundable fee of €50.00 to cover administration expenses.

Insurance Limitations

No insurance cover whatsoever is provided if a vehicle is driven across the border into the occupied Northern Area of Cyprus, if a vehicle is driven on an unsurfaced road, or if there is clear negligence on behalf of the driver.

Such negligence includes (but is not limited to) driving whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failing to adhere to road traffic regulations, failure to report an accident to the police, or intentionally trying to damage the vehicle. 

In any of these cases, the driver becomes responsible for the market value of our vehicle as well as recovery costs and any costs relating to third-party claims.

Any damage must be reported by telephone or e-mail at the time of the incident in order to be covered by our Full Protection coverage. Failure to log the incident will invalidate the Full Protection terms. When reporting any incident you will be required to provide specifics of how the damage occurred. It is also a requirement to provide photographic evidence prior to the return of the vehicle of the damage along with the location of the incident (e.g the road or carpark where the car was damaged) in order to validate your claim.

Driver Eligibility

All drivers must be over 25 years of age and have held a full driving license for at least 3 years. The maximum driving age is 69. If a driver is older than 69 then we would need to obtain a special insurance. If you are younger than 25 years old and without a full 3 years driving license there will be a young driver surcharge.

For such drivers we must be advised at the time of reservation in order to arrange insurance cover for them. It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has the appropriate driving licence. No refunds will be given for the rentals rejected due to non-production of a driving license. The vehicle must not be driven by any person other than the renter or an Authorised Driver.

A charge has to be paid for each additional driver

Fuel

Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of the rental. To avoid any refueling charges please return the vehicle with a full tank of fuel. If the fuel tank is not full we will fill the tank and charge you for the fuel. Fuel is charged at the market price plus VAT. A refueling service charge of €20.00 applies.

If you prefer to pay for the petrol at the beginning of the rental and return the vehicle with an empty tank, please speak to a member of the Auto Village team for details.

Deliveries and Collections

At the end of the rental, vehicles should be returned to the original delivery place and in the same condition that they were at the start of the rental. This includes all five tyres, tools, audio equipment and other accessories. We operate a Clean to Clean policy to give our customers the best value. If the vehicle is returned in an unclean condition then a cleaning charge of €15 will be charged. If the vehicle is returned in a bad condition then a valeting charge of €35 will be taken.

The customer accepts responsibility for any loss or damage to the vehicle caused by their willful act or negligence. This includes but is not restricted to responsibility for any loss or damage to the vehicle or its accessories as a result of theft occurring when the customer has left the keys in or with the vehicle. The customer hereby indemnifies the Company against such loss or damage.

Vehicles are rented at a daily rate according to the agreed date, one day being defined as any period of 24 hours from the time of commencement of the rental agreement. A grace period of 59 minutes is allowed for after the time due back. After this a day’s administration charge of €25 plus a day’s rental charge will be made.

In the event that a customer requires a vehicle for a longer period than the agreed rental period, the customer must notify the Company at least 48 hours prior to the termination of the agreed rental period.

Please note that it is company policy to prevent any of our employees lifting or handling any luggage belonging to customers to and from any of our rental vehicles or shuttle service vehicles.

Outside Of Office Hours

If you require the car to be available outside of normal office hours (10pm - 9am), whether for the pick up or drop off, we will arrange for a member of our team to be available. Prior notification is required for this service. There will be an additional one-off fee of €15.

Fleet Availability

The company reserves the right to provide a different car model to that originally reserved of an equivalent or higher  model type.

Upgrades

Customers may upgrade to another class of vehicle locally upon arrival. Upgrades are subject to availability and fees for upgrades will be determined locally at the time of rental. Customers must pay all fees for upgrade locally.

Parking Fees & Traffic Fines

Drivers remain responsible for any parking or traffic fines that they may incur whilst driving one of our rental vehicles. Payment should be made at the earliest opportunity to the local relevant authorities and before leaving the island.

The rentals team at Auto Village must also be informed of the fine and completed payment.. Any unpaid fines can be pursued overseas by Cypriot authorities which may incur further penalties for the delay, plus a local administration charge of €30 per penalty paid to Auto Village.

Accidents 

In the event of an accident , drivers must notify us immediately . Our 24 hour contact number is printed on every rental contract. Please note that failure to inform us may invalidate any / all insurance.

Payment / Security Deposits 

A deposit amount from a minimum of EUR 800.00 to a maximum of EUR 1000.00 depending on the class of the car. This will be a block held against your credit/debit card for the duration of the rental. In the event you purchase our full protection cover you shall only be required to pay a deposit of EUR 100.00 at the rental desk. **Please Note - the holding block on your card will be released within 24 hours of the return of the rental car. In the event that the bank or card company declines the release it may take up to 30 days for the funds to show back in your account.**

Your deposit is a guarantee held in the event of damage/theft of the vehicle. This will be automatically released if there is no theft or damage during the rental period.

Please note that this does not represent your total excess liability which can be found in the Insurance Coverage section.

All rental charges are payable in advance. We accept visa and mastercard credit and debit cards and american express. Any additional supplements / extras to the normal rental will be collected by one of our staff prior to the handover of the vehicle.

All customers will receive a rental contract showing a detailed breakdown of all charges. A valid credit/debit card in the name of the driver must be presented regardless of payment method. Please note we do not accept Diners Card

Special Equipment

Child seats, booster seats, GPS navigation systems, Mobile Wifi and other additional items may provided at an extra cost.

Cancellations / No Shows / Amendments & Early Returns

Cancellation of Fully Prepaid Bookings:

a. You may cancel 48 hours or more before your rental is due to start
b. If you cancel in the 48 hours period prior to pick up, the money that you have paid will be refunded, minus the cost of a 3 days rental:
- If you had booked the car for a period less than 3 days, there won’t be any additional   charges, but you will not receive any refund.
c. If you fail to turn up at the agreed time and date, and/or to provide all the necessary documentation, and/or to provide a credit/debit card with enough available funds on it, we may refuse you the car.

No-shows:
A ‘No-show’ is when you:

  • Wish to cancel but don’t inform us before your rental is due to start, or
  • Fail to pick the car up at the arranged time and date, or
  • Fail to provide the documentation that is required to pick the car up, or
  • Fail to provide a credit/debit card in the main driver’s name with enough available funds on it.

In all of these cases you will receive no refund of the money that you have paid.
We reserve the right to refuse the car to to any customer who fails to arrive on time with all of the necessary documentation and a credit/debit card with enough available funds for the car’s deposit. In such a case unless the rental has been cancelled in advance, the customer will not be entitled to a refund.

Amendments:
You can amend your rental online, free of charge, at any point before your rental is due to start. Certain amendments could affect the rental price, such as location, car group or time or date of rental. If it does then you will be charged at the current published price, which may be different from what you originally paid.

No refunds can be made locally for rentals ended early, late collections, for no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date. Please contact our Customer Service department on +357-24030209 if you require further information or assistance in this matter.

Please note that rentals cannot be cancelled by email.

Auto Village 24/7 Terms and Conditions of Membership and Van Rental

AutoVillage 24/7 is offering you the opportunity to join our membership scheme for short term van rental operated by AutoVillage 24/7. Your membership is a unique membership that allows you to access our fleet of vans on an hourly basis and at a convenient location. Renting a van in Cyprus has just become much easier.

As a member, we will ask each of you to respect not only the vehicle, but also these terms and your fellow members. This agreement and the terms and conditions below govern both other members and your membership and usage of the vehicles.

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree to be bound by them and to receive notice of any changes to the terms and conditions through the posting of notice of such changes on the AutoVillage website. We reserve the right to make changes to the terms and conditions (including but not limited to rates and charges) at any time. Your use of the AutoVillage 24/7 service will be governed by and subject to the terms and conditions as published on the AutoVillage website at the time of the use of your services.

After we have published any changes to the terms and conditions you will be bound by those amended terms and conditions accordingly. You should check prior to each use of the service to ensure that you understand the precise terms and conditions applicable to your use of the services. If you make a booking, then you agree to the terms and conditions in force at the time of your booking.

  • Becoming a member & using the Services

 

Application Process

a. Members can register online or over the phone. All details must be correct including your billing information.

b. In order to receive confirmation and reminders on your bookings, you will need to provide a valid email address and your mobile phone number. Please inform us if these change during the course of your membership so that we can continue to keep you updated.

c. You need to ensure that at all times you fulfill our minimum rental qualifications. You must keep us up to date as to any change in billing details or contact information (address & phone number). You are also required to notify AutoVillage of any driving infringements prior to using the services.

Minimum Rental Qualifications

d. You must have a valid full driving license for at least 2 years and maintain the driving license for the duration of your membership.

e. You will be required to hold a valid license permitting you to drive a vehicle in Cyprus and it is your responsibility to ensure that your driving license remains valid.

f. If you do not hold an EU driving license you can still become a member. Please contact the team for further details.

Billing Details

g. You will need to provide us with your debit or credit card details so that we can verify their validity and then charge you for the rental fees and any additional charges.

h. You will need to provide us with proof of your home address (recent utility bill).

Age Considerations

i. The minimum qualifying age for AutoVillage 24/7 members is 23. If you are under 23 we will have to get a quotation from our insurance company for the young driver rate.

i. You will be responsible for damage or vandalism for up to €1050

Non-waivable Van Excess  - €850

Non-waivable Young Driver Van Excess  - €1050

If the damage to the vehicle is less than the excess amount, you will only be responsible for the lessor amount, any administration fee and any towage costs. Any damage more than the excess amount will be covered by AutoVillage 24/7

ii. If you put the wrong fuel into the vehicle, you will be charged the excess amount. If the vehicle is stolen, you will be charged the full excess amount. In the event that the theft is considered as “Gross Negligence” AutoVillage 24/7 reserves the right to pursue for the full cost of the repairs or the vehicle value.

2. Making A Booking

a. You can book your van hire at our website http://autovillagecyprus.com/van-rental-cyprus or by phoning the Customer Care Centre. Phone reservations will incur a booking fee (See Additional Driving Charges)

b. The van must be booked for at least one hour on each occasion. Thereafter in agreed intervals.

c. You will receive confirmation emails and sms messages from us, initially to confirm your membership and then to confirm your vehicle booking. These emails and sms messages will give you instructions on your van rental, the van’s location.

d. Access to the van for your booking is via an electronic keypad on the windscreen. Full instructions will be included in the emails following your rental booking.

3. Charges For Using The Vehicle

a. When you use the vehicle, you will be charged at the rates shown, with a minimum charge of one hour (on applicable vehicles). You will be charged for the full rental, regardless of whether you returned the vehicle early subject to clause 5. There is also a standard charge of €20 to cover full insurance for the duration of the rental. This only applies to the vehicles that are booked hourly.

b. The rental rate for each rental will be determined when you make a booking and you will be able to view these charges before you confirm each booking.

c. Unlimited mileage is included in the rental and the fuel needs to be returned full as supplied. Any additional refuel costs are the responsibility of the renter.

d. We will charge your card with a €200 holding deposit (48) hours before you start your rental or immediately if your rental commences within 48 hours. The booking will only be confirmed once authorisation has been successfully obtained. The deposit charge will be released within 3 working days of the vehicle being returned and once all charges have been deducted. We may notify you if your card payment is declined.

4. Additional Charges That You Will Be Responsible For 

Please see Schedule 1 for the details of the Charges

a. If you return the vehicle late, you will be charged a late return fee, plus an incremental hourly rental fee for any overtime.

b. You will also incur an additional charge in the following instances (see Additional Driving Charges Sheet 1):

i. If you return the vehicle with less than a full tank of fuel.

ii. If you leave the vehicle in an unfit state (not clean), or you have smoked in the vehicle or allowed pets in the vehicle.

iii. If you lose the keys or vehicle documents.

iv. If you have not closed the windows, turned the lights or radio off, or if you forgot to lock the vehicle.

c. If you do not return the vehicle to the designated parking space and park the vehicle somewhere else without informing us, then you will be charged an additional fee, any parking charges and any recovery charges if the vehicle is towed away.

d. If we are required to process any accident claims, road fines, parking fines or any other fines relating to the time that the vehicle was in your possession or left parked after your rental, prior to the vehicle being rented out again, you will be charged an administration charge for dealing with it. You will also be responsible for paying the fines.

e. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you authorize us to deduct all charges from your credit or debit card.

5. Early return / Cancellation

a. If you no longer need the vehicle, you may cancel the booking. To avoid being charged for the full period of the booking, you must cancel at least six hours before the time of your booking. If you don’t cancel before six hours, you will be charged for up to 24 hours or your full rental, whichever is the lower amount.

b. Even if you return the vehicle early, you will still be charged for the full rental or for the period up to 24 hours after the return, whichever is less.

6. Insurances and Additional Protections Offered By AutoVillage 24/7

a. Provided you comply with the terms and conditions of rental, you will be covered by third party motor insurance as required by law and damage protection.

b. If you have followed all of the rules of AutoVillage 24/7 membership, you will only have to pay up to the excess if there is damage, loss or theft of the vehicle. If the damage is lower than the amount of the excess, you will have to pay the amount of repair and an administration fee.

If we cannot assess the cost of repairs at the time of damage notification we will invoice you for the full excess amount and refund the difference after the repairs have been completed.

c. If you do not comply with the terms and conditions of rental, or if the loss, damage or theft is caused intentionally or by gross negligence. You will lose the benefit of any insurance/cover and the additional protection provided by AutoVillage 24/7. All roof damage will be considered the responsibility of the member and all such damage will be categorised as gross negligence.

d. It is important that you notify us by email or normal mail of any change in your license status or if you have any points added to your license as this may mean that you are no longer insured.

7. Before Using The Vehicle

a. You must check the vehicle for any damage and make sure that any damage that is not recorded on the sheet inside the cab is reported to the team at AutoVillage 24/7. If you do not inform the AutoVillage 24/7 team prior to using the vehicle you may be liable for any damage to the vehicle.

b. If you don’t let us know, you will be responsible for any damage and we will deduct any costs and expenses from your agreed method of payment.

c. You will be required to continue to hold a valid driving licence at the start of each rental.

8. Conditions When Using The Vehicle

a. You must use the keypad entry device to unlock and lock the vehicle when you are not driving the vehicle. You will not be able to access the vehicle until you have been issued with the entry code. The keypad entry code will be issued to you 15 minutes before the booking start time. You will need to call a telephone number sent in the sms & emails to start your booking. Until this point the engine is immobilised.

b. The keys must not be removed from the vehicle when you leave the vehicle. Please use the keypad to lock and unlock the vehicle.

c. You are responsible for the vehicle and anything that happens to the vehicle from the moment that you unlock the vehicle until your rental is completed and you lock the vehicle. This includes tyre damage that may not be evident at the time of ending your rental.

d. You are responsible for any tolls, parking fines, speeding fines, clamping fees, and any other charges or fees which are incurred while using the vehicle.

e. You must not smoke or allow anyone else to smoke in the vehicle.

f. No pets are allowed in the vehicle at any time, except if required as a service animal for the visually impaired.

g. Please remember that another member will use the vehicle after you, so keep it clean and tidy.

h. If any damage is done to the vehicle, you are responsible, and you must let us know immediately if anything happens.

i. If the vehicle breaks down, or there is a fault with the vehicle, you must let us know immediately. Do not arrange for your own breakdown repair service or allow any other person to service or fix the vehicle.

j. If you have an accident you must inform us immediately. If the vehicle is stolen you need to inform the police immediately. Let us know straight away and we will tell you what to do. You should not add or attach any equipment or device to the vehicle.

9. Returning The Vehicle

a. You must return the vehicle before the end of your rental period, otherwise, a late return fee will be applied.

b. Rental charges will continue to accrue, until the vehicle is returned to its starting location and the rental is closed. For early return please see clause 5b

c. Ordinary wear and tear due to reasonable use expected, the vehicle must be returned in the same condition in which you received it.

d. At the end of the rental, please conduct a thorough final check and inspect the vehicle for any damage which may have occurred during your rental. If any new damage is detected, you must report it to AutoVillage 24/7 team.

e. The vehicle must be parked at the same location where you collected the vehicle. If you cannot park the vehicle in the same location please contact the AutoVillage 24/7 team immediately to notify them where you are parking the vehicle.

f. The vehicle must be returned with at least a half tank of fuel. Additional fuel used during the rental period will be at the renters expense. You must make sure that there is at least a half tank of fuel left for the next member.

g. Turn off the lights of the vehicle (including interior lights), the radio and close all windows.

h. Remember to leave the keys and the pre-inspection sheet in the vehicle and lock the vehicle using the keypad entry device with the code that you were issued with.

i. At the end of the rental, on each occasion, you must ensure that you terminate the rental by turning off the engine, removing the key from the ignition and then calling the telephone number given at the start of the rental to stop the rental. This action will immobilise the engine. Failure to do so may result in additional charges.

10. Your Responsibilities As A Member

a. You are responsible for the vehicle and anything that happens to the vehicle from the moment that you unlock the vehicle with the keypad entry device.

b. You are prohibited from driving the vehicle across the border into the occupied Northern Area of Cyprus.

c. You must only use the vehicle to carry passengers which do not exceed the designed seating capacity.

d. You must only use the vehicle in accordance with all highway and other applicable laws and regulations.

e. The use of the vehicle in the following conditions is not allowed:

i. for any hire or reward

ii. to carry passengers for remuneration

iii. for off road or on roads which are unsuitable

iv. to take part in any race or contest

v. to sub-rent or for driver training

vi. by any person who is under the influence of alcohol or any drug or medication which is prohibited.

vii. In the carrying out of any crime or any other illegal activity

viii. for the towing of of a trailer or vehicle

ix. to carry any substance which is toxic, flammable, or which may damage the vehicle.

f. If you don’t comply with the terms and conditions of use of the vehicle, you will lose the benefit of any insurance cover and additional protection you may have.

g. You must continue to meet all of our licence requirements while you are a member and whenever you use the vehicle and to let us know if there are any changes to your licence status.
